HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING?

Pretty easy! It was one day of dress shop hopping with my beautiful mum. It was a very special experience and I'm glad we did it in just one day to avoid overthinking the whole process with too much choice. Kim, and her beautiful Love you More studio was a complete standout from the rest. Kim has such a warm presence that makes you feel so comfortable. She is very humble too, not revealing that she was the designer behind all the beautiful dresses until I dug a bit deeper. I feel so lucky to have stumbled across Kim's studio and also love that all the dresses are made here in Melbourne, unlike most other studios which import from overseas.

HOW DID YOU KNOW YOUR GOWN WAS THE ONE?

Just the way it fitted my body perfectly and immediately put a smile on my face. I didn't require any alterations other than the hem.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING STYLE AND INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?

We'd recently returned from Italy when we commenced our wedding planning so we tried to keep the Italian theme continuing into the venue (Italian) and general style. My style is classy and simple. For me, less is more, and that was the philosophy for the day.

HOW DID YOU MEET?

The modern way, online!

HOW DID THE PROPOSAL GO DOWN?

Matt had planned everything down to a "T" in the most thoughtful and generous way. A weekend away in the Yarra Valley, Matt popped the question in our beautiful, quaint little AirBnB overlooking rolling green hills on a crisp winter morning. He'd then planned for my parents to fly down from the Sunshine Coast to surprise me, along with the rest of my family down in the Mornington Peninsula. So we hopped from Yarra Valley to Sorrento for a beautiful weekend of celebration.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING SOUNDTRACK?

A mix of old and new. Our bridal entry song was to the classic, Hall & Oates - You make my dreams (come true) and our first dance was to James Taylor - How Sweet It Is, finishing on another classic, Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING?

Incredibly difficult to pin down to one moment but I'd have to say the warmth and love in the room for the reception was a standout. It was pretty special to step back for a moment and see all your favourite people in the one room, smiling and laughing together.
